A big thank-you to Debbie at AVA for the lovely write-up about my stand at Tent.

They take the time & pain out of repeats & separations leaving more time for the creative designing part!

Tent London 2014
Can't believe it's been a whole week since 'Tent London' finished for another year.
My first show & it was great fun, see some photos of the stand below!
Great to get a reaction from trade & seems the 'Character Polka'
is definitely the fave print!
Good to meet other designers in the same boat, Louise Wilkinson & Daniel Heath
were neighbours, both of who I'd heard of & whose work I'd followed & loved!
It was a great show, really good mix of different products, established
& new designers, all in the heart of East London which created a great forum
for my first show.

Competition time!
Amara Living (one of my stockists) are running a collaboration with
funky lamp brand Fatboy to find a winning print design for their
'Edison the Petit' lamp. I've entered the 'Character Polka' print as I think
the quirky, playful nature of these cool little lamps matches that of the print.
I had a sample to play around with & love that they are totally portable as
no cable & a bit of a play on old-style, pull chain lamps of the early
19th Century to turn on, off & alter the level of light.
Think they'd be great as night-lights in the garden if you were having
a BBQ or as bedside lamps. The inter-changable printed shade designs
are a great & really relevant idea, bit like the concept behind my
'mix & match flip-book' inspired cushion range.
Responding to people's want for
newness in interiors as well as fashion.

Have a look at the competitors here & if you like my #CharacterPolka design
Sheffield Botanical Gardens

My first visit (of what I expect will be many over the years) of my new garden...
well it's opposite my house so I feel like it is, so you gotta give me that!
The sun was shining so it was rude not too take the camera for a walk & get
some design fodder before all the blooms disappear for Winter!
