I had a great day out at Newark yesterday, so many great finds (always the case when you're trying to save the pennies!) So so tempting with the new house & did manage to get a few bargains but also some exciting finds with the new collection in mind. Some amazing Victorian Scrapbooks that I'm still having to restrain myself ringing up & purchasing, just beautiful stuff, all very inspiring. I caught up with Chris from 'Chris Holmes Decorative Interiors' (has an amazing shop in Harrogate which is well worth a visit) who shows regularly at Newark & met his partner Chloe Holt who is the most talented Artist! Check out her work as it's really inspiring stuff & her paintings displayed amongst Chris' expertly selected & curated salvage/antique finds are just beautiful.
Was also a little in love with the huge branches of mistletoe that were for sale, all tied-up amongst bunches of holly & ivy with red ribbon. Now that's what Christmas decorations are all about in my book & hopefully will be adorning my front door in a few weeks time in preparation for Christmas (as well as the compulsory watching of 'Elf' obvs).
